Yesterday afternoon I was driving along the street and in front of me was older model van with a bumper sticker that read 0 to 60 in fifteen minutes and it got me thinking. This really is a great philosophy.
Sometimes we get so caught up in being the first or getting things done so quickly that we forget to enjoy the experience. I have heard that "the early bird gets the worm", which is great if you want worms. I have also heard that "Life is a journey not a destination" I prefer the latter. Also I can assure you .. that there are enough worms for all the birds.
I know that car manufacturers would have us believe that getting from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds is something special. But really who needs that? Try going from, 0-60 in 15 minutes and see if you don't actually enjoy the view out your window.
I understand that when it comes to getting your goals, dreams and ideal life the faster we get there the faster we can move onto the next goal or dream. But seriously if the only reason you want to get the your goal or dream is so you can move on to the next one... maybe you didn't really want it. What's the point is acquiring all these experiences or material things if we don't slow down and enjoy them.
This is even more important when we are trying to determine what our goals and dreams are. There is no hurry in making sure you have an exact picture of your ideal life in your mind. The more time you take the clearer the picture will get. And the clearer the picture the better the chance that what you want (exactly) will manifest. If you hurry through your vision board, dream box, mind movie or comparison list you may miss a detail or two and wonder why you are not getting exactly what you want.
Take some time slow down and enjoy the process.
Music inspires me a lot and here's a song I think captures this blog.
