Recharge Your Battery

As you know I have recently return from one of the most beautiful places I have ever found. Isla Mujeres off the coast of Cancun Mexico. It's a small island 5 miles long and about 1/2 mile wide. The beach is rated 13 in the world by trip adviser and I believe it deserves a higher rating.

Before I left for my vacation I went through all of the electronic gadgets I would be bringing, my camera, my video camera, my wife's camera, my tablet... all to make sure that to start I would not be without power. I charged up all the batteries and all the spare batteries to make sure everything would work from the get go. It sucks when a memorable moment goes by and your camera battery is dead and you miss it forever. Having enough energy is important and not just for your camera or tablet.

The vacation itself was my opportunity to recharge my own batteries. To make sure that when the need arises for me to turn it on... I have the energy. When you can get away, even for a short time to recharge yourself you need to take the opportunity. To charge a camera battery takes about 1 hour... sometimes that's all it takes for us to recharge. Sometimes it take a little longer depending how much energy you have drained. If it takes a little longer that's okay. The last thing you want is to be out energy when you need it. Mental and physical energy are equally as important so make sure that throughout your day, week, month or year... whatever works for you... when you need to recharge your batteries you do it. You never know when you are going to have a memorable moment that requires you to turn it on.
